I’ve been having some very trying times lately, so I wanted to post something positive and show a little love to my favorite time of year. To my surprise there has been more colors in my area than it’s been in years, making it feel much more like a real a autumn season. These colors have lasted much longer than I anticipated, but it appears that they’re rapidly disappearing. I hope to get out and capture one more round of fall colors before they’re all gone. Until then, I hope you enjoy!

The weather has started to warm up and I like most people have been out enjoying it. I spent last weekend with my family at the local marina meeting new people and watching all the families playing in the sun. One of the more fun moments of that outing was when the families, and more specifically the children were feeding the birds. For some it was their first time both feeding and being so close to all the different birds. The reactions were priceless! One particular moment stood out, and that’s what I’ve decided to shared today. A very friendly and energetic grandmother was teaching her equally excited granddaughter how to feed the ducks. It was a touching site to just watch the two of them interact with one another. As a photographer I live to capture these moments but, as a person I live to experience them as well.
The intricate lines and curves of an old tree’s bark. I absolutely love the character present in the fine details of different textures. Beauty is all around us, especially in nature. It feels wonderful to go out and let it inspire you!
