This Is Love…
Love is not just for couples, love is for everyone!!! We all need love. We all need to show each other love frequently, especially those that are closest to us.
In honor of love, I present these 2 best friends being a beautiful illustration of what love truly means, even at an early age. We can all learn from their example and make a conscious effort to spread more love in this divided world. ❤
“The Embrace”
Could you figure out what it was? Well, it’s actually an abstract shot of my children hugging. Taken about 2 years ago to test my new camera and lens, this was the very first shot with my new gear. I was so impressed with the amount of detail in the file I decided to keep it. Later I grew to appreciate the emotional value of the image. Although my children very rarely get into any type of fight or disagreement, I thought it was a particularly genuine moment where they shared a very sweet embrace with one another. It’s kind of hard to decipher because there’s so much hair in the shot but, that’s exactly why I love it! It just goes to show that sometimes the photos we dislike or maybe think very little of at first can eventually turn out to be some of our most cherished. I’m so happy I decided to keep it! ❤

Today I’d like to share another image that I was fortunate enough to capture while back home in July of this year. While out revisiting and introducing my son to the old fishing hole my father took me to as I child I was able to capture this shot of the 2 of them taking a break. My son was so happy that he decided to show his love for his grandfather without saying a single word. It was a very touching and special moment. A moment that I’m very happy to have had my camera for because, these are the times that you wish you could freeze, look back on and smile. Luckily we all can now. Tell someone you care about you love them today!
