Spending time in one of my favorite vacation spots is always an instant remedy for stress. The moment the cool air from the water hits your face you can feel it’s healing powers take over your entire body. The happy sounds of tropical music fills your ears, while the delicious aroma of fresh fruit and grilled Gulf seafood teases your sense of smell. Your next thought is always how you immediately know you never want to leave. It’s been far too long since my family and I have been on a vacation anywhere together, so this trip was definitely long overdue! It’s been a tradition of ours to go to Florida at least for a few days to relax, but our last trip was suddenly interrupted by an unfortunate emergency. It’s been well over a year since our last trip and going back we can see right away that a few things have changed. Gone are all of the wild spring-breakers of the past, replaced by a more family oriented crowd which was absolutely perfect timing! After check-in everyone races to the room to drop off their bags and head straight to the beach. Finally!!! The moment you dream of for months at a time has finally arrived, and you couldn’t be happier! Ahh…time to kick your feet up, chill, and enjoy all of the new attractions at your leisure…after all, there’s no room to worry about time here. For once time excuses itself for your enjoyment.
Never without my camera, I documented the trip as usual and I’d like to share a summary of the various sights with images organized more or less in the order in which they were taken. I hope you enjoy the photos and your weekend!

I’d rather be back on the beach even on a stormy day like this than to be where I am now. Wishful thinking I guess?
A late night stroll on the beach reveals a snack truck open for business to fulfill the sweet tooth’s of night owls like myself.
The gorgeous multi-colored sunset over the beach in Florida this past weekend.
An early, rainy morning at the beach last year.
Here are some more random sights from my recent trip to Florida during the Thanksgiving holiday. This post represents the most pics I’ve shared at once ever! I had a great time walking around shooting these images and I hope you all enjoy them as well.
Good Monday morning everyone! I’m back home from my much needed vacation in sunny Florida. Traveling to the beaches of Florida in the fall for the holidays has become somewhat of a tradition in my family. This trip started off a little rainy and gloomy, but quickly turned into the usual beautiful weather that we’re accustom to, although the temperatures were not as high as last year. This has been a very pressing year for me. It feels as if I’ve done everything I DID NOT want to do this year and to be totally honest, I’m glad it’s finally coming to an end. Of course a week’s vacation can’t possibly undo a years worth of stress, frustration, setbacks and obstacles but, it has allowed me a moment to relax, reflect and prepare myself for the coming year. I’ve really shifted my focus photographically, emphasizing my interest in other facets of photography other than models. Doing so has allowed me the freedom to express myself the way I choose, as well as reconnect with the simple principles of truly being a freelance photographer, not being tied down to one category. Like a lot of others, this is how I began photography. My career began by just walking around and shooting whatever I thought was interesting and trying to capture it in what I felt was a creative way. Although I will continue to work with models, I will be ultra selective in who I actually decide to give my time to, and I will continue to pursue my own interests. My blog has become and will continue to be a place where I express and share ANYTHING I capture that I feel warrants interest. With that being said, I’d like to share a few images taken while on vacation (you know photographers are never really on vacation right?) As time permits I will post more images from this trip within the coming days. Please enjoy.
