It’s no secret that fall is my favorite season, but now this time of year has taken on a whole new meaning.
Living in the desert for the past 4 years has made me both miss and appreciate the fall even more. Living in an area that doesn’t reflect any of the wonderful characteristics of the season makes me reminisce on a time when the beauty of fall was just outside my door.
With that being said, I’d like to share a few of my favorite fall memories, in hopes of creating more someday soon.
Thank God for Autumn! I’m getting out more, seriously enjoying the weather and shooting more often. As the fall season has started to fully transition I’ve taken advantage by hitting the streets in search of my favorite targets: colors, textures and details. This is a daily process so I will continue to update my progression over time, but below is small collection of my findings so far. I hope you enjoy!

It’s finally starting to look like fall outside! This shot was taken downtown overlooking the river and the new zip line attraction. You can see the beautiful fall colors starting to form subtly in the background. It’s my favorite time of the year but, since I’ve moved here I’ve learned not to get too attached to it. Fall really doesn’t last long here and sometimes cold weather can sweep in from nowhere and wipe out all the fall colors in a matter of days! What we’re left with is an extended winter. I try to get out an capture as many of the already limited colors in my area as I can but, it’s very challenging when the leaves fall so fast…Well, I hope you enjoy the shot, and I will continue to try and catch as many of the colors as I can before they’re all completely gone.
I love fall! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s my favorite time of the year! I’m thankful we’ve actually had a fall season here in Georgia this year because, usually everything dies too soon and I don’t get a chance to enjoy the wonderful fall colors along with the moderate temperatures. Despite being sick for the past week and a half I’ve tried to capture as much of the fall colors as possible whenever I go out. I need more before their all gone!!!
