Another solo adventure for me last week as I walked around the downtown area in search of some interesting sites to photograph. Fall is finally here and I couldn’t be happier!!! When the temperature drops I become more motivated to get out and shoot. The light, the air, and atmosphere inspire me to pick up my camera and stay outside all day long. It might sound weird to anyone other than a photographer but, I really hate when I have to stop shooting and come back in. The good thing is getting to come home and see what you’ve done all day. Here are just a few of the images I captured.

It’s finally starting to look like fall outside! This shot was taken downtown overlooking the river and the new zip line attraction. You can see the beautiful fall colors starting to form subtly in the background. It’s my favorite time of the year but, since I’ve moved here I’ve learned not to get too attached to it. Fall really doesn’t last long here and sometimes cold weather can sweep in from nowhere and wipe out all the fall colors in a matter of days! What we’re left with is an extended winter. I try to get out an capture as many of the already limited colors in my area as I can but, it’s very challenging when the leaves fall so fast…Well, I hope you enjoy the shot, and I will continue to try and catch as many of the colors as I can before they’re all completely gone.

Happy Veteran’s Day everyone!!! Thank you to all the brave men and women who sacrifice for our country and our freedom. I’d like to give a very special thank you to all of my relatives that have and currently serve in the United States military.
